Ministers global network multicultural program is a combination of social, cultural and educational program design to educate student from different background to understand race and ethnic differences. This program helps students become more knowledgeable about their own culture and other cultures values, to be open minded, able to inspire and empathize with people from diverse background.
This program will help students that are struggling with bias, bigotry; prejudice and racism expand their cultural competence. This program will help student raise an awareness of self-worth, creativity, self-reliance, self-image, self-confidence.
Beginning Course
In the beginning of the course, student (s) and instructor will have open discussion environment that promotes acceptance, respect, and teamwork despite differences in race, age, gender, native language, political beliefs, and religion, sexual orientation, or communication styles among others. This will help student understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing individual differences.
Learning Outcomes:
- Multiculturalism- help students understand Cultural diversity and the importance and the impact it has in our country, workplaces, schools and community. This open discussion course consists of various cultural, racial, and ethnic groups with the understanding about each other’s background in order to facilitate collaboration.
- Benefits of Multicultural Education – students learn to respects themselves as an individual while promoting respect for others. It emphasizes the contributions of the various groups: this will help to eradicate prejudice and racism, brings different races together in harmony, builds interaction between diverse cultures, creates tolerance between two groups, it eradicates cultural barriers.
- Cultural diversity – student will learn the importance of many different culture and help them recognize and respect other cultures that are not necessarily their own. This course consists of all the different factors that make up an individual, including age, gender, culture, religion, personality, social status and sexual orientation.
- Becoming Multicultural– student will learn to be more Cultural sensitive. This course allows student to respect and value other cultures, and can eradicates cultural barriers. We help students to formative being, resilient, changing, and evolutionary, thus a multicultural person.
- Cultural competence – allows students to become aware more of their own individual biases and reactions to people who are of a culture or background different from their own. We help them set the right attitude, knowledge, and skills they need to approach any situation that deals cultural diversity.
- Multicultural experience – student will share their experiences of interacting with other cultures besides their own. This is an open discussion for students to share their experiences and feedbacks. This is where students and instructors encourage each other positively with their knowledge and skill to strengthen each other.
